The Dutch Jazz Archive presents its second benefit concert at the Bimhuis. As in the previous year, the crème de la crème of Dutch jazz will perform in support of the archival institution which is still fighting for its existence.
Francien van Tuinen will pay tribute to Rita Reys, who passed away last summer. Han Bennink, John Engels and Joost Patocka will demonstrate their skills in the program Masters of the Brushes. You can expect improvisation of the highest order from the internationally renowned ICP Orchestra. And this is just a random selection from this highly varied benefit concert, which has some remarkable surprises in store. The evening will be hosted by Mijke Loeven and Benjamin Herman is behind the turntables.
Tonight’s proceeds will be donated to the Dutch Jazz Archive, which is forced to make a new start after losing government funding. Thanks to your support the Dutch Jazz Archive will keep jazz alive in The Netherlands.
