He’s going on 20 and he has already won important national and international prizes, among them the prestigious Deloitte Jazz Award ‘07. Dutch alto saxophonist Ben van Gelder currently lives in New York where he followed classes with Lee Konitz and Jimmy Halperin and where he does the club circuit playing in bands with David Binney, among others.
