Northeastern Brazil is known for its popular, energetic music styles such as forró, baião, xote, pé de serra. Beirão was born in Ceará, in the heart of Northeast Brazil and grew up in Brasília, the modern capital city of Brazil, where in the nineteen eighties many alternative rock bands were all the rage. He is strongly influenced by both the musical giants from the Northeast such as Jackson do Pandeiro, Luis Gonzaga and Zé Ramalho as well as new artists such as Cassia Eller, Capital Inicial and Legião Urbana.
