AT PEACE

Using ten fingers at the same time and playing a total of 21 strings he causes every audience to collectively hold its breath: Ballaké Sissoko creates magic with his enchanting playing of the kora, the African harp.
The musician from Mali is seen as one of the best kora players of his generation. Ballaké gained fans all over the world thanks to his collaborations with Toumani Diabaté and Taj Mahal. At the Bimhuis he will give an intimate performance with his African ensemble, as a plea for peace in his tormented homeland Mali.
Afterwards, in the cafe: DJ Luc Mast
