Bacchanalia, the brainchild of Netherlands-based Uruguayan-born guitarist/bassist Miguel Petruccelli, returns. The twelve-piece Bacchanalia Orchestra is twice the size of the original Bacchanalia, which combines Latin American rhythms with daring improvisations.
In the Bacchanalia Orchestra, young and seasoned musicians collaborate to inject the international improv music scene with South American rhythms such as cumbia, milonga, salsa and clave. Fireworks is guaranteed, with string and horn sections featuring the cream of Dutch improv, plus two drummers and a percussionist.
