Bacchanalia has brought audiences into ecstasy with wild improvisations and music based on Latin American rhythms. The twelve-piece Bacchanalia Orchestra is twice the size of the original Bacchanalia, the brainchild of Netherlands-based, Uruguayan-born guitarist/bassist Miguel Petruccelli.
In the Bacchanalia Orchestra, young and seasoned musicians collaborate to inject the international improv music scene with South American rhythms such as cumbia, milonga, salsa and clave. Fireworks is guaranteed, with string and horn sections featuring the cream of Dutch improv, plus the Venezuelan percussionist Gerardo Rosales.
