AVISHAI COHEN QUARTET

The reputation of the, originally, Israeli bass player went sky high in the US after he contributed to groups of Chick Corea. But that is not all, Cohen has wide interests which shows in his collaboration with Alicia Keys and the London Philharmonic, to name a few. For his own compositions he draws not only from jazz but also from funk, rock and classical music. He performs his work with a chamber music like approach; his flexible and expressive bass is the leading voice but the accompaniment exists of full solo parts.
