The Aurelia Saxophone Quartet is here to lend them a helping hand: Charlie Parker comes back in Facing Death by Louis Andriessen and Johnny Hodges and Bruno Maderna put in an appearance with the help of Klaas de Vries’ composition Twee koralen. And Piazzolla’s Muerte del angel and Barber’s Adagio for Strings van Barber must not be excluded from the proceedings.
