ASSIF TSAHAR/WILBERT DE JOODE/HAMID DRAKE

Tenor saxophonist Assif Tsahar was born and raised in Israel and moved, in pursuit of music, to New York in 1990 where he was soon noticed for his exciting and powerful improvisations. ‘One of the great new talents in New York’, (Time Out NY). Tsahar is also one of the founders of the Vision Festival and produced independently over fifty shows of some of the best improvisors in NY. With the unbeatable Hamid Drake on drums and Dutch bassist Wilbert de Joode (who earned a strong international reputation in the past years) he brings on stage a true powertrio.
