This year there were no live graduation concerts. The Graduation Jazz Festival offers the jazz alumni of 2020 their well-deserved stage.

This edition featuring:

Arin Keshishi’s project

Arin Keshishi is an Iranian/Armenian bass player/composer, and has always been inspired and influenced by Persian & Armenian folk musi. His compositions mostly fit into fusion-jazz style with lots of eastern music techniques and elements as well as modal jazz harmony.

Miguel Seoane Quartet

In this project, the different backgrounds and personalities of the members get together to create a common point of view on ballads, combining the music of the jazz tradition with contemporary elements, in order to create a new sound out of the more old fashioned songs.

Martin Diaz Quintet

After more than six years playing in the Catalan Jazz scene, with projects such as Supersax Pojector the Barcelona Jazz Orchestra and two years in the Dutch one, this is Martin’s first personal project. These two scenes where the Jazz music is so alive, are really present in the composisions and Martin’s way of composing, as you can also hear on his most recent album Identities.

Fabien Vuattoux Trio

From furious rock riffs to sinuous and impressionistic melodies, while adding interaction and listening as the main ingredients of the music, the band draws inspiration from jazz to more contemporary forms without being classified in any genre distinctions.

Daniel Nagel Quintet

Growing in demand as a sideman ever since his arrival in Amsterdam four years ago, bass player Daniel Nagel can be heard in various formations such as the Sam Newbould Quintet, Ilia Rayskin Sextett, german based Quintet Wels. His Quintet consists of his favorite musicians, all of which perform around town regularly. Leading a band is rather new territory for Daniel and this evening will hold a lot of „firsts “. Joining him on this exciting experience, the band will be playing originals as well as originals of others.
