The musicians in Anti-Panopticon are always looking for mystery and adventure. These are exactly the qualities that Lennert Baerts is looking for when it comes to performing his compositions, The Flemish jazz saxophone player writes elaborated scores that could be classified as contemporary classical music, while at the same time challenge improvisation and individuality. That is why Baerts always surrounds himself with unique voices, who cannot be easily manipulated by the daily flood of information.

For this group, Baerts selected musicians who share his jazz background: well-known Belgian drummer Jesse Dockx alongside Dutchmen Floris Kappeyne on piano and Tijs Klaassen on double bass, both of whom have known each other since an early age.Anti-Panopticon’s debut album, Channeling the Flood, appeared simultaneously with another album that featured Lennert Baerts as a saxophonist and composer: Times Change and So Must We, by Muze Jazz Orchestra.
