ANDY SUMMERS/BEN VERDERY & ADRIAN BELEW SOLO

American singer/guitarist Adrian Belew played an innovative part in the pioneering progressive rock band King Crimson and on stage with Frank Zappa, David Bowie and Talking Heads. Belew is an eccentric singer/songwriter, as well as a forward-thinking instrumentalist, who keeps challenging himself with unusual effects and techniques.

Andy Summers plays a key part in Amsterdam Electric Guitar Heaven 2012. As the guitarist of The Police he needs no introduction, but in the 1960s he had already played blues, jazz and psychedelic rock with such artists as The Animals. After his worldwide success with The Police went on to compose modern classical music, soundtracks and jazz. All of these pursuits come together in this concert with classical guitarist Benjamin Verdery.

Bimhuis Restaurant opens at 18:30. After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
