Space is the Place presents An Intergalactic Night, an evening of performances across genres and disciplines. This edition features unique artists from the worlds of jazz, spoken word and experimental music. Appearing throughout the evening will be bar pianist Ernst Glerum, also known as a double bassist in ICP Orchestra and Benjamin Herman Trio.

Sun-Mi Hong & Luís Lopes
Sun-Mi Hong, an acclaimed Korean drummer based in Amsterdam, is a rising star known for her boundless creativity and infectious energy. Throughout the last few years she has appeared in a wide range of international bands. Now she will form a duo with Portuguese artist Luís Lopes, who crosses electro-acoustic experiences with guitar. His approach ranges from extreme noise to the pianissimo of his love songs.

Gershwin Bonevacia
Gershwin Bonevacia is a versatile artist: poet, writer, musician, podcaster, and theatre maker. From March 2019 to January 2022, he was the city poet of Amsterdam. His work is deeply rooted in contemporary poetry, with successful works such as  Toen ik klein was, was ik niet bang (2021) and De stad is ook van mij(2024). In 2023, his autobiographical theatre performance erug naar Prinsenplein received five stars in NRC and was named one of the best performances of the year by Het Parool. Bonevacia is known for his moving lyrics, rhythmic performances, and captivating wordplay. At times intimate and deeply personal, at other times zooming out of time, society, or culture.

Sara Guidolin & friends
In her performances, Sara Guidolin moves fluidly between voice, cello, and piano. Her debut album everything i thought on monday is a collection of eight original compositions for different instrumental combinations. Now she will perform with three of the same guests as on the album: trumpeter Timothé Lantoine, double bassist Zenzele Mthembu-Salter and harpsichord player Katerina Orfanoudaki.
