The Amsterdam Jazz Orchestra, usually dressed in immaculate white outfits, performs new works by talented composers and top arrangers on their current CD Finding the Way. The opening track Zed’s Chopper by Ruben Hein references the film Pulp Fiction and the other contributions reveal tasteful influences of soundtracks and show tunes as well. The young big band regularly collaborates with Dutch top soloists. For tonight’s CD presentation Eric Vloeimans and Jesse van Ruller are invited. Tonight the Bimhuis cafe-restaurant will be serving a buffet menu instead of its usual a-la-carte menu (euro 15, from 19 hours). Reservations recommended: 020-7882158.
