Theo Loevendie celebrates his 80th birthday at the Bimhuis with an impressive line-up of artists from his past and present in music. The composer, clarinet player and pioneer of improvisational music in The Netherlands has built an oeuvre strongly influences by jazz and non-Western music, as well as literature and theatre. All of this can be seen on stage this evening, where some of the performers include writer Kees van Kooten, jazz drummer Martin van Duynhoven and erhu player Fang Weiling. The evening will be presented by Bas Lubberhuizen.
