An explosion of self-expression is how to describe Bonbon Flamme by the ever-surprising cellist Valentin Ceccaldi. He himself describes the music as ‘Free Candy Burned Jazz’, where you can put each word in a different place in the sentence without the music sounding any different at all. Band leader is the colourful Valentin Ceccaldi, who has brought together a tailor-made band: Flemish’ Fulco Ottervanger with his pop keyboards; Portugal’s Luis Lopes and his blues and finally, Etienne Ziemniak, who takes on the rhythm and pulse. Expect an energetic set from an exciting collective.

Beforehand, trumpeter Alistair Payne will play a solo set, with a special blend of trumpet and electronics.
