ALFREDO & DAVID LAGOS

The Lagos brothers, singer David and guitarist Alfredo, are regarded as great promises for flamenco. They grew up in Jerez de la Frontera, among renowned interpreters of traditional cante. By the time they were ten they had already shared the stage. They have since collaborated with such innovators of the genre, as guitarist Paco de Lucia, singer Enrique Morente and the dancers Belén Maya and Israel Galván, both of whom made their Dutch debut at the Flamenco Biennale of 2006. The early and subsequent influences on their career come together on David Lagos’ debut album, El espejo en que me miro, which will be released in Spain in October and presented at this Bimhuis concert.
