COLIN STETSON/ALEXANDER VON SCHLIPPENBACH TRIO

Colin Stetson’s bass saxophone playing can conjure up the sound of a complete brass ensemble, percussion included. His hypnotic solo pieces showcase extraordinary saxophone techniques. Aside from his current band Bon Iver he has collaborated with Arcade Fire, Tom Waits and his master Anthony Braxton. Stetson’s solo concert will be followed by a performance by one of his great examples, saxophone innovator Evan Parker, in the legendary trio line-up with pianist Alexander Von Schlippenbach and drummer Paul Lovens.
