ALBARE & iTD
LONG WAY
Albare gitaar, George Garzone sax, Hendrik Meurkens mondharmonica, Phil Turcio piano,
Evripides Evripedou bas, Ignacio Berroa drums
Guitarist Albert ‘Albare’ Dadon plays in the tradition of George Benson and Pat Metheny: fluently melodic on the one hand and playfully surprising on the other. Albare was born in Morocco, grew up in France and Israel and landed in Melbourne. Influences from all these regions come together on his album Long Way, which will be released by quality label Enja. His band iTD (International Travel Diary) features such talents as harmonica player Hendrik Meurkens, who is considered the heir to Toots Thielemans’ throne.
