ACCORDION TRIBE

Ten years ago this collection of original and individual masters has been brought together by Guy Klucevsek, the New Yorks ‘rebel with an accordion’, known for his collaboration with Bill Frisell, John Zorn and others. The five accordionists come from various countries and fields of style; jazz, classical, folk and avant-garde rule the collective improvisations, the layered compositions and the musical conversations. ‘Listening to the intricacies of their playing together, their exploration of ideas and traditions, one feels the Accordion Tribe gathers for its own sake, and we are priviliged to overhear.’ (Songlines).
