FIBER Festival is a “meeting place for everyone interested in audiovisual art, digital culture, daring conversations and experimental music” From 28 to 31 May 2026 the festival hosts their 11th edition at various locations in Amsterdam. Through performances, club nights, installations, concerts and talks FIBER explores this year’s theme Fragile Forces, as a source of fragile and collective strength. BIMHUIS holds the honor of hosting FIBER Festival 2026’s closing double concert of Abdullah Miniawy Trio and KUNTARI. Explore the full festival here.
KUNTARI is the collaborative project of musicians Tesla Manaf and Rio Abror, born a desire to break from conventional jazz structures. The duo coined their own genre-descriptor, “primal-core”: a sound built from percussive guitar, roto toms, field recordings and voice. “Elements of sludge metal, noise, and post-hardcore, scrape against traditional folk music and jazz, and gesture towards sound art, 20th century minimalism and dark ambient.”
Abdullah Miniaway Trio’s performances unfold with quiet intensity. The trio explores Egyptian vocal traditions within a sonic intersection of baroque counterpoint, extended brass techniques and electronics. “Their practice builds on years of transforming MIDI fragments, harmonies and digital textures into physical, acoustic performance an ongoing process of experimentation”
