The Ab Baars Trio celebrates its 20th anniversary with the European tour ‘Invisible Blow’. This term is borrowed from boxing; every boxer realizes that an invisible blow might floor him or her in the end. Boxing as a metaphor for life itself. Even though 20 years haven’t passed without incidents, saxophone and clarinet player Baars and his trio have still managed to build a reputation as ‘the best of what Dutch improvised music has to offer’ (de Volkskrant). For this tour the trio will be joined by vocalist Fay Victor, poet Anneke Brassinga and horn player Vincent Chaney.
