Pianist Aaron Parks, known as sideman to Kurt Rosenwinkel and Terence Blanchard, plays jazz with the dynamic texture of contemporary alternative rock, electronica and hip-hop. After many excursions in various directions, such as the group James Farm with Joshua Redman, he’s back with his trio, with whom he made his debut on Blue Note. ‘Everything is in this mix: classical influence, bop-based grooves, rock attitude, film-score drama and hip-hop textures’ (Boston Globe).
