4Sure, the band of bassist Pablo Nahar, couples jazz harmonies to South American rhythms. Saxophone player Efraïm Trujillo (Fra Fra Sound, Ploctones) and drummer Olaf Keus give a personal twist to Brazilian and Cuban music. Nahar and pianist Mark Milan are pioneers of Paramaribop, the Surinam jazz genre. The name 4Sure refers to the Surinam roots of the quartet. ‘This Latin jazz band’s playing is very infectious’ (NRC Handelsblad).
