The international, improvisation quartet 4 Walls is boosted by two wind instruments played by Gail Brand and Isabelle Duthoit, both highly experienced in the field of composed music and contemporary improvisation. The addition of trombone and clarinet brings new harmonic and melodic possibilities. 4 Walls accommodates an intriguing musical world in which very delicately arranged compositions and free improvisations go hand in hand. Minuscule sounds and eruptions of noise & energy are set alongside each other.
