New Makers is a talent development program supported by the Performing Arts Fund NL. Over the course of two years, musicians develop their creative outlook, follow masterclasses from their idols, write new music, and work on a sparkling live repertoire. The common denominators? Idiosyncratic and virtuous. Conductor and artistic director Tijn Wybenga (2019/2020) was our first New maker, followed by singer, double bassist and composer Fuensanta. The musician from Veracruz, Mexico immerses herself in poetry and performance art in addition to her music.
