Hij speelde een sterrol op het Grammy-winnende titelloze album van de Pat Metheny Unity Band met Antonio Sánchez en Chris Potter. Naast jazzhelden als Wynton Marsalis en Roy Hargrove speelde hij met popsterren als Chaka Khan en Pharrell Williams.
