TIMUCIN SAHIN QUARTET FEAT. RANDY BRECKER

De Turkse gitarist/componist Timuçin Sahin verhuisde in 1992 naar Nederland. Met On The Line (met Oene van Geel en Albert van Veenendaal) won hij in 2001 de Dutch Jazz Competition. Voor zijn nieuwe groep nodigde Sahin trompetheld Randy Brecker (o.a. Blood, Sweat & Tears, Horace Silver, The Brecker Brothers, talloze studiosessies) uit. ‘With a voracious musical appetite that includes African, Indian and more traditional western jazz and contemporary classical music, Sahin has fashioned a sound that is an intriguing blend.’ (All About Jazz). ‘Sahin has chops galore yet remains tastefully restrained, a gritty fusion player.’ (Jazzwise).
