SPEEQ

Het Europese improkwartet SPEEQ kwam twee jaar geleden voor het eerst bijeen, op het Banlieues Bleues Festival in Parijs. De combinatie tussen zangeres Sidsel Endresen (inmiddels vervangen door vocalist buitencategorie Phil Minton), gitarist Hasse Poulsen, bassist Luc Ex en drummer Mark Sanders werkte zo goed dat concerten op festivals in Frankrijk, Engeland, Finland en Duitsland volgden. ‘They are the kind of uncompromising improv group who drive a few disgruntled listeners out of the room in the opening moments, they rightly drew loud appreciation from the majority who stayed put.’ (The Guardian).
