Grammy- en Emmy-genomineerde pianist John Beasley werkte samen met een ontzagwekkende lijst muzikale iconen: Miles Davis, Freddie Hubbard, Dianne Reeves, Herbie Hancock, Steely Dan, Marcus Miller, Christian McBride, Chaka Khan en zelfs James Brown.
De Amerikaanse pianist, componist en arrangeur betuigt eer aan Thelonious Monk in een solo-pianoconcert met arrangementen van zijn recente album MONK’estra Vol. 1, dat al maanden in de top 10 van de Amerikaanse jazzlijsten staat en wordt omschreven als ‘some of the most mesmerizing big band music of recent memory’ (International Review of Music).
