Het Instant Composers Pool Orchestra, Nederlands top improvisatie-ensemble is ‘altijd goed voor een verrassing, die eigenlijk geen verrassing is, omdat verrassingen deel uitmaken van het concept van ICP’, schreef het Oostenrijkse blad Jazz-thetik. De Europese reputatie van ICP Orchestra is al decennialang gevestigd. Na enkele tournees in de Verenigde Staten en Canada eindigde het orkest dit jaar in de polls van zowel Down Beat Critics als de International Jazz Journalists Association in de top vijf van de big bands.
