GORDON GRDINA TRIO MICHAEL BATES OUTSIDE SOURCES

Gordon Grdina en Michael Bates zijn grote beloftes uit de vooruitstrevende jazzscene van Vancouver. Grdina blinkt uit op gitaar en oud, de Oosterse luit. Met Paul Motian en leermeester Gary Peacock maakte hij de cd Think Like The Waves. ‘Grdina is a voracious listener drawing on Arabic Classical music… there’s something revelatory about the album’s unflinching hypnotic core’ (Downbeat).
