Trompettist Eric Vloeimans heeft zich ontwikkeld tot een musicus van internationale allure. Het Amerikaanse Jazztimes: ‘Vloeimans plays crisp and selfassured, embodying the articulate melodism of Clifford Brown plus many shades of Miles, without being imitative.’ In 2002 won Vloeimans de VPRO/Boy Edgar Award 2001 en vervolgens een Bird Award op het North Sea Jazz Festival. Opvallend in de front-line van dit internationale ‘all star’ kwartet (zijn beste groep tot nu toe, zegt hij) is de combinatie van gitaar en trompet.
