Zony Mash & Horns is jazzfunkspektakel van de bovenste plank, onder leiding van een centrale figuur uit de Downtown-scene, Wayne Horvitz. De toetsenist van John Zorns revolutionaire hardcore-jazzformatie Naked City woont nu in Seattle. Daar richtte hij met gitaarheld Timothy Young de band Zony Mash op, die inmiddels flink uitgebreid is.
