NIK BÄRTSCH’S RONIN

Ronin onderzoekt sinds 2001 de ruimtelijkheid van klank en timbre. Filmische soundscapes, die soms neigen naar verstilde minimal music en dan ineens verschuiven richting nauwkeurig getimede precisiefunk. Zelf omschrijft Nik Bärtsch (1971) zijn intenties als volgt: ‘A band should mature into an integral organism – then it’s alive, like an animal, a biotope, an urban space. It creates overtones, blossoms, ghost notes, spectral sounds, flights of perspective. (…) Pieces are spaces to be entered and inhabited.’
