Yassir Bousselam Trio
Discover the most interesting from the worldwide non-classical cello underground with two concerts per evening, during the Cello Biennial.
The Moroccan cellist and composer Yassir Bousselam is a versatile musicia, and that might be an understatement. Trained as a classical cellist at the conservatories of Rabat, Paris and Brussels, he cherishes the classical repertoire, immerses himself as an ethnomusicologist in the roots of Arabo-Andalusian music (Nouba Maroccain), makes programs with poets and is a great jazz fanatic. He adds this mix of influences to the international Yassir Bousselam Trio, featuring a Moroccan cellist, a French pianist and a German percussionist.
