Dave Douglas has become a household name in the music world since the 1980s. He recorded hundreds of albums, collaborating with jazz legends such as Hirace Silver, avant-garde players such as John Zorn, and pop stars such as Tom Waits. An important chapter in his career was the groundbreaking Masada ensemble led by John Zorn. He also recorded a well-received album together with pianist/composer Misha Mengelberg, in a quartet featuring drummer Han Bennink.
