YPF European Piano Competition – Semi Final

Young talented pianists compete for great prizes at this European competition organized by the Young Pianist Foundation.

The ninth edition of the YPF competition will take place from 26 February to 9 March 2025. After the success of the Young Pianist Foundation’s first European competition in 2022, the 2025 competition is again aimed at young pianists with a passport from one of the member states of the European Union, including the United Kingdom and Switzerland. The YPF European Piano Competition 2025 – Grand Prix Youri Egorov, will again take place at our venue and at our neighbours in the Muziekgebouw and is open to pianists up to 27 years of age. The young talents will compete in front of the renowned international jury for a place in the final on 9 March and, by extension, for first prize and, who knows, the Grand Prix Youri Egorov.

The names of the semi-finalists will be announced Saturday 1 March after the Quarter-finals. The judges will announce on Wednesday, March 5 around 3:30 p.m. who will advance to the Final on Sunday, March 9, which will take place at Muziekgebouw.

Start: 10am, 60 minutes per participant, 4 participants per day.
