Yotam Silberstein Quartet

Guitar hero from New York with a fluent style, who’s known from the band of John Patitucci. ‘Silberstein burns brightly’ (Downbeat).

From bebop to cool jazz and from Brazilian to tango and flamenco: guitarist Yotam Silberstein connects it all with unprecedented flexibility and precision. In his native Tel Aviv he was recognized as a prodigy and at the age of 25 he moved to New York, where he made his mark in the bands of John Pattitucci en Monty Alexander.

On his own albums he welcomed guest players such as Roy Hargrove and Paquito D’Rivera. Early 2019 he will release his sixth album Future Memories. The guitarist will also make his debut at the BIMHUIS with his quartet, featuring experienced jazz musicians from New York.

‘Yotam Silberstein improvises in a cutting tone and writes heady original tunes that seem to tug the straight-ahead jazz tradition in new directions’ (New York Times).
