THE POWER QUINTET
Saturday14 February 2015

The great American trumpet player Jeremy Pelt presents an absolute star cast featuring vibraphone player Steve Nelson (Dave Holland Quintet) and drummer Bill Stewart (John Scofield, Pat Metheny).

Nobody can ignore Jeremy Pelt when it comes to heroic, majestic trumpet playing. The multiple Downbeat Critics Poll-leader has raised the roof of the Bimhuis many times. Now he’s back with a new quintet. This true all-star band features vibraphone player Steve Nelson, known as a member of The Dave Holland Quintet, and drummer Bill Stewart, who played on best-selling albums by John Scofield and Pat Metheny.

‘Fireworks ignite from Pelt’s trumpet improvisations’ (Downbeat).

The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6.30 til 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
