THE LOOM OF MIND
THE LOOM OF MIND
- Starts
- 20:30
Raw songs and stories by Icelander Mugison are woven in with the baroque instruments of Flemish indie ensemble Baroque Orchetration X.
Icelandic one man band Mugison teams up with his compatriot Pétur Ben and the Flemish indie-baroque collective Baroque Orchestration X. The bearded bard Mugison brings a mix of old and new songs accompanied by the ensemble’s baroque instruments. The title “The Loom of Mind’ refers to the creativity and the complexity of the brain, but also to its vulnerability. The music is woven together with stand-up comedy, stories, visuals and set design to create a performance in which Mugison’s ‘Mirstrument’ – a kind of electronic, musical loom – will take centre stage.
The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6 til 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
