The Claudia Quintet, which was named after an over-enthusiastic fan, plays contemporary music in a curious line-up featuring vibraphone and accordion. From surf rock to breakbeats and from chamber jazz to minimal music; the all-star band moves fluently between different tones and timbres. Interplay is paramount and powerplay is avoided, which results in a melodic and richly varied ensemble sound.
