Danish guitarist Teis Semey, nicknamed ‘the bad boy of Dutch jazz’, shows with his quintet what happens when free jazz, indie pop and rock collide. The five musicians throw caution to the wind, yet keep their interplay sharp down to the smallest detail. Their music has long been built on carefully crafted melodies and structures that leave room for that interplay. The new material, which you can hear on the upcoming album Live in Saalfelden, takes a more beat-driven approach.

In recent years the quintet has performed at North Sea Jazz Festival, London Jazz Festival and Copenhagen Jazz Festival, and was a showcase artist at jazzahead! and Footprints Touring Artists.
