Audiovisual summer party featuring renowned electronic music artists including YouTube star and ‘godfather of controllerism’ Moldover. Collaboration with STEIM (Studio for Electro Instrumental Music).
STEIM, the internationally renowned organization for electronic music, celebrates its annual summer party at the Bimhuis with renowned musicians and artists from Europe and the US.
The concert opens with Brooklyn and Berlin based composer Doron Sadja, whose work explores modes of perception and the experience of sound, light, and space.
Also from the US comes Moldover, hailed by more than 1,000,000 YouTube viewers as ‘The Godfather of Controllerism’, part of a new wave of musicians causing sensation with controllers, all kinds of machines for live sound performance. With his balls-to-the-wall live show with new instruments such as The Octamasher and The Mojo he’s hailed as ‘the Godfather of Controllerism’.
The concert closes with the audiovisual performance of sound artists Michel Banabila and Radboud Mens in collaboration with multimedia artist Marcel Douma, a daring balance between sophisticated electronics and exciting layers of pulsating rhythms.
The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6.30 til 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
