Fireworks at the Bimhuis with Reinier Baas as master of ceremonies. The guitarist welcomes illustrious names such as Ben van Gelder, Martijn Vink and Han Bennink.

2014’s New Year’s Eve celebration at the Bimhuis is directed by Reinier Baas, guitarist and leader of ‘the hippest and most exciting jazz band in The Netherlands’ (de Volkskrant), The More Socially Relevant Jazz Music Ensemble. The band opens the party together with special guest Martijn Vink (The Ploctones) on drums. After that Reinier will introduce his trio with the New York-based saxophonist and ‘boy wonder of Dutch jazz’ (NRC) Ben van Gelder and Holland’s most adventurous drummer Han Bennink. Sax player Lars Dietrich and pianist Gideon van Gelder have made name in New York as well. They will play with drummer Jamie Peet (Pete Philly, Glerum Omnibus). Plus DJ ALVIZ and, of course, bubbles and oliebollen.
