The Conservatory of Amsterdam is full of young, talented musicians with a drive to create and inspire. From May 23 till the end of June, every tuesday our stage will be the playground of these Rough Diamonds. Every edition two or more promising bands will perform, access is free.

Oleg Prilusky Quintet

While studying at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, trumpeter Oleg Prilusky formed his quintet, focusing on his own compositions in the style of modern jazz. He combines jazz styles such as cool jazz, post-bob and contemporary jazz with impressionistic sounds, while mixing improvisation with the compositional elements of classical music.

Ante Medic Octet

This ensemble of guitarist Ante Medic has the energy of an experimental rock ‘n’ roll trio on the one hand, and the depth you expect from a five-piece wind section on the other. Building on the jazz tradition, Medic is searching for his own sound with his octet, drawing inspiration from different genres and styles.
