The international Amsterdam improvisation scene is alive and kicking, producing interesting bands featuring musicians from jazz, contemporary, noise, punk, rock and beyond. Naked Wolf is one of these new ensembles. Following their motto ‘feel free to dance’, Gerri Jäger en Luc Ex lay down hypnotic rhythms which are pushed into every direction by the band with acoustic as well as electric instruments. Oscar Jan Hoogland’s band The Job improvises with equally dangerous elements: punky bass lines, raw rhythms, edgy melodies, organ explosions and whispers, lipstick and radio static.
