MASTERCLASS DISORIENT FUTURE LAB: SONIC BRIDGES MET MARMOUCHA ORCHESTRA & MEHDI NASSOULI

Are you a musician and do you want to immerse yourself in the rich sounds of gnawa and similar styles? Then join the Masterclass DisOrient Fusion LAB: Sonic Bridges. On the Monday after their concert at BIMHUIS, Marmoucha Orchestra and Mehdi Nassouli will host a masterclass. We warmly welcome musicians from all backgrounds, including those with cultural ties to North Africa and the Middle East. The session is open to traditional musicians, academic jazz musicians, conservatory students, and self-taught artists.

This unique session offers a deep dive into the captivating rhythms and harmonies of gnawa music and an opportunity to perform alongside Marmoucha Orchestra and Mehdi Nassouli. The evening will feature an exclusive thirty-minute concert, followed by an open jam session where you can join in and experiment with the fusion of styles.
