Mark Guiliana has a passion for both jazz drums and electronic music, which comes through in his playing. From bebop to hip-hop and breakbeats: he has mastered it all. Consequently, he has been asked for major projects such as Blackstar, David Bowie’s last album, and Mehliana, the electro/jazz duo with Brad Mehldau. Now he will present his own compositions with his Mark Guiliana Quartet.

The two sides of Mark Guiliana come to the fore on his latest album the sound of listening. On the one hand it contains jazz tracks with acoustic drums and double bass. On the other hand, Guiliana has built up tracks with synthesizers and drum computer.
