Laura Misch + support Loradeniz

True multi-talent from London takes inspiration for her songs from nature and the city.

Laura Misch is a South-London born saxophonist, singer-songwriter, electronic producer and field recordist. Recently she released Sample the Earth, an acoustic sister-album to her debut album Sample the Sky, an ode to care, connection and listening to the natural world. Laura has been developing a one-woman show which invites deep listening and contemplation through songs and sonic environments inspired by nature.

Her electro-acoustic palette draws from a lineage of female pioneers in electronic music, such as Caterina Barbieri en Suzanne Ciani. Laura’s current performances interweave her three main voices, saxophone, singing and synthesis. In 2025 she will also release a new album.

Support act is Loradeniz, the alter-ego of Deniz Omeruglu, pianist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, sound designer, producer and DJ. With roots in classical piano and deep studies in composition and sound design, she creates music that blurs the boundaries between electronic, cinematic and experimental music.

‘Laura Misch listens closely to the natural world, allowing the patterns and rhythms of the world around us – from the innate to the incalculable – to inform her shimmering sound’ (Crack Magazine).

On March 9, Laura Misch leads a sound workshop together with Loradeniz. Would you like to attend? Sign up here.
In Retuning, you will explore the sound in our inner and outer environments together. How can we use sound to self-soothe? How can we attune or retune with elemental sounds and beings even in urban environments? How can we utilise our field of perception to find focus in times of chaos and transactional city spaces? Can we develop a collective ethos of slowness, culminating an inner environment?
